the view from our front door (temporary) apartment. also ezra’s play area. we should be moving into our home sometime next week. the apartment we are in now will be housing our mentors. they’re moving in on the 10th, and guess where they are flying in from…BUENOS AIRES, Argentina! dave and i are thrilled that our mentors happen to have served in Buenos Aires for over 15 years! how cool is that?! here i am cooking our first meal in costa rica…very good! we found marinated meat at Hiper Mas (just like super wal-mart, but bigger), it was perfect for me because i don’t cook. ezra and daddy having fun in his new room.

our spanish barefoot class/class room…not too shaby! we’ll be starting formal spanish class sept. 4. the weather here has been sunny in the morning & raining in the afternoon, almost everyday. especially today, it was the worst rain we have seen yet. we baught one of those golf sized umbrellas at a place called PriceSmart, just like Costco or Sam’s, but a little bit cheaper. the umberlla was only $15. but the cost of food is very expensive here. we baught a few items at the store, basic stuff, milk, eggs, bread, etc, it ran about $50. we’ve now learned to not shop in certain stores for food. the best way to buy produce for example, is on saturday or sunday at the local “farmers market”. we got to see a movie the other night, like go out to a movie and the cost for one ticket was 4 dollars!!! the movie we saw was transformers…it’s a must see!
